• Resumen: One of the most important “Information Technology” security infrastructures of the modern enterprise is the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The goal of the PKI is to provide a set of rules and methods which allows to issue, distribute, revoke and use electronic credentials, which at the same time also provide with authentication, integrity, confidentiality and non-repudiation services mainly in e-business applications. Problem: Every couple of years, the PKI software has to be upgraded, together with its other functional components. However, this is a very delicate task due to the complexity of a PKI environment.
